Nikaido, just outside central Kamakura, is a valley known even within a city of temples for its unusual quiet. Within it stands an all-suite auberge occupying a building that dates to 1855, taking only two parties a day. At the attached restaurant, COCON, dishes are built on techniques developed in Italy, using ingredients drawn from Kamakura, Shonan, and producers across the country. Seating is limited to a single counter facing the open kitchen. Watching each dish take shape before it arrives at the table turns the meal into something beyond simply eating.
03｜Shaped Around Each Day

ZENRISE offers three plans combining the property and its restaurant with a half-day or full-day tour, or an overnight stay. It can close out a day spent touring Kamakura and Shonan with lunch or dinner, or extend into an overnight stay after a fuller day — shaped around each guest's itinerary and length of visit.
