Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station
The tour bus climbs from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, 2,300 metres above sea level. The air here is noticeably thinner and cooler; a small shrine sits partway up the mountainside, and the surrounding lakes appear far below, laid out like a map.
