By design, it's possible to go through the whole stay barely crossing paths with the host. It feels less like a hotel room and more like renting a house in Kamakura for a few days of your own.

Built by Sumitomo Forestry, the house still carries the scent of new wood. Yuigahama Beach is a 5-minute walk away, Kamakura Station 10 minutes, with Wadazuka Station also nearby. A convenience store, supermarket, kaiten-zushi restaurant, café, shabu-shabu spot, and Kua'aina are all within a 3-minute walk. Free parking is included, making it just as workable for guests arriving by car.

On request, guests can enjoy a roughly 30-minute koto performance by the host — a quiet piece of Japanese music woven into the stay itself, the kind of cultural moment that's hard to reach through sightseeing alone. Guests hoping to hear it are best off mentioning it by message ahead of time.

Check-in generally runs from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with some variation by day of the week. There's a shower only, no bathtub, and the property is entirely smoke-free with no pets allowed.
